Pip's Beachside Bar & Grill

I will admit I was quite curious about Pip's Beachside Bar & Grill. For the most part it was rated highly at several Internet restaurant rating services like Yahoo. I found one that was recent and a little negative so we set out with some friends to find out what the deal was.
Pip's is a Bar and grill, it's right there in the name.
That means they sell a lot of beer and mixed drinks along with food. They also have entertainment there so this is more of a party place than it is fine dining. Perhaps that's where the fellow with the bad impression got confused. This is where you go to have fun with your friends, not where you go for Pâté de foie gras.
I had Teriyaki Mahi shish kabobs with fruit and vegetables, side dishes were sweet potato fries and sweet corn. My partner had a dozen fried oysters with cole slaw and the sweet potato fries. The slaw was the creamy sweet kind. One of our friends had a lobster salad sandwich and fries and the other had fish and chips.
The food was very good and very filling. We sat out on the patio where the entertainment was, which at the time was a guitarist singing along with his guitar. Folks were having a good time and sang along with him at times. Pip's is right across the street from the Atlantic Ocean so the fresh air and view are hard to beat.
Since this is a bar and grill with drinking going on, it might not be a place for young folks after noon.
The rest rooms were clean and stocked and parking out front was great.
