When you walk up to the entrance of Kob Jai you wonder of it's really a restaurant, or maybe it's a nursery selling bushes, trees, flowers, and herbs. As it turns out, some of the food is so fresh that it's grown on site.

The interior has been completely redone. This restaurant was a seafood place previously and it used to be rough inside. It looks great now. It's clean and bright and well decorated with a calm atmosphere.

The food is excellent. We have two friends who often eat there. I watch my salt intake so Kob Jai is not the best place for me, but my wife loves the place and our friends do, too.

We started with crispy egg rolls, which are unique to Kob Jai. They appear to be a spring roll with breaded exterior. Whatever they put inside it must be a family secret. Whereas many egg rolls and fried spring rolls seem doughy or bland, these were excellent.

I had Mus Sa Mun Curry with Tofu. My partner had Spicy Fried Rice with chicken, a house specialty. The servings were so generous we stuffed ourselves had still had leftovers the next day.

The parking lot is big and the rest rooms are clean.
