Buca di Beppo was a pleasant surprise. The busy, quirky, over-the-top decor made us feel like we were transported in time and space to an Italy of several decades ago. Patrons were dressed from shorts and flip-flops to fancy garb, but all were prepared for a great feast.
Buca di Beppo's unique slant on Italian food was outstanding. We started with a small order of chopped antipasto salad, which was the best we had ever had. We split a small order of chicken saltimbocca, which means the chicken breasts were draped with prosciutto, swimming in a lemon butter sauce, topped with capers and artichokes, and cooked to perfection. An olive oil and vinaigrette dip was available for the soft, warm bread that came with our meal.
We looked at lots of pictures on the walls and forgot to check the restrooms.
We have been back several times and we all feel this is the best Italian restaurant in the area.
